Bassline Africa

Based out of Cape Town and Johannesburg, Bassline Africa coordinates high-profile and international music tours and events - on the ‘big stage’.

Over the past 5 years Bassline has produced the annual Africa Day and New Year’s Eve Concerts for the City of Johannesburg, the global “Live 8 Concert” and similar music events broadcast live by SABC 2 featuring the cream of the crop in South African and African music, filmed with spectacular world class stage, lighting and sound, drawing audiences of up to 30000 per event. Earlier this year Bassline managed the South African showcase at MIDEM in Cannes featuring many of South Africa’s international acts.

From 2006 to 2008 Bassline was part of the consortium that managed the month-long Johannesburg Arts Alive festival featuring over 100 performing arts events throughout the city, including the massive “jazz on the lake” spectacle. This year Bassline undertook international production (Johannesburg, Cape Town, New York, London) of the United Nations ‘Millennium Development Goals’ All-Africa Song featuring a stunning line-up of African songwriters and performers.
