Areyeng (Lets go) to see and meet Sol as he turns the Bassline in Newtown into a Bonfire- musical show as part of the festivities lined-up to celebrate Africa Day. The creative, traditional, African Contemporary musician will be showcasing his beautiful ballads and ancient African sound called Tinqambhi Tava Tsheketi (Compositions of Story Tellers) in 7of our 11 indigenous languages.
Sol will perform his hit songs from his debut album Unconventional and give the audience a taste of new songs from his forthcoming album. Special guest performance on the night will include amongst others the legendary Dr. Sello Galane. The show will celebrate Sol’s ten years in the music industry and entertainment business and he has promised to bring together the musical inspiration of his childhood with a young team of talented musicians from Tshwane which includes his energetic six piece band and soulful backing vocalists.
Areyeng (Lets go) and Meet Sol will be hosted at Bassline Jazz Club (Newtown) on Friday 27 May 2016 at 20h00.
